The University of Kansas Jayhawks are a inter-collegiate football team that competes in the Northern Division of the NCAA Division-I Big 12 Conference. The Kansas Jayhawks have three bitter rivals and play against all three teams annually. The first and one of the longest standing uninterrupted rivalries in college football history is against the Missouri Tigers, the Kansas Jayhawks and the Missouri Tigers have played in the "Border War" since 1891, the Kansas Jayhawks currently hold the traveling trophy.

The Cornhuskers won this rivalry in 36 consecutive matches giving the team the title of Second Longest Winning Streak Against One Team in NCAA history.
