Texas Aggies 2012 Football Tickets Available Now!!

The Texas A&M Spring Game 2012 was an exciting one for fans of the Aggies. The offense, showcasing an up-tempo Kevin Sumlin-type style, ran more than 100 plays in the first half. Senior receiver Ryap Swope had two long touchdown catches of 63 and 50 yards. Swope finished the spring game with eight catches for 156 yrads.

The defense was without tow of its mainstays with Jonathan Mathis and Steven Campbell not playing. The first-team defense held its own for much of the game, but the second unit gave up a lot in bag plays, committing several mental errors.

The Aggies were definitely more physical this spring than they have been in the past. With protecting leads being an issue in the past, the Aggies will look to tighten up this fall.

Texas A&M's quarterback Ryan Tannehill was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft. The Dolphins used the eighth pick.

Tannehill was picked up in hopes of leading the Dolphins out of the darkest period in franchise history. The Dolphins have had three straight losing seasons.

Though Tannehill has had only 19 starts as a quarterback for the Aggies, Tannehill will look to become the Dolphins starter against Matt Moore, who led the Dolphins to a 6-3 finish last season.

The Texas A&M Aggies performed well in the first round of the Big 12 Tourney. The Aggies downed No. 8 Oklahoma 62-53 in an upset game. 

Moving on to play No. 1 seed Kansas, the Aggies had more of a challenge. Texas A&M put up a good fight, but lost to the Jayhawks 83-66.

Two-time national coach of the year finalist Kevin Sumlin was named head football coach at Texas A&M in December. Sumlin will be the coach to lead the Aggies into the Southeastern Conference in 2012. 

Sumlin comes to Texas A&M after a successful period at the University of Houston, where he led the Cougars to a school-record 12 wins. He also accomplished the program's highest finish in the Bowl Championship Series standings in 2011. Sumlin was named the Region 5 Coach of the Year by the AMFCA in 2011.

The Aggies football team broke a five game bowl losing streak when it beat the Northwestern Wildcats 33-22 in the Meineke Car Care Bowl. Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald said the loud, heavily A&M crowd in Houston made things difficult for his offense. Way to go Aggies fans!

A Big 12 vs. Big 10 Bowl game is always exciting and it is even more exciting when the Big 12 comes out on top. Aggies quarterback Ryan Tannehill  threw for 329 yards with one touchdown and rusher Ben Malena  scored two touchdowns on his own.

"It's been a long year with a lot of ups and downs," Ryan Tannehill said. Aggies football fans agree, but to end the season on high note is always a plus.

We look forward to a better season at Kyle Field in 2012 and we hope to see you all there, because you really are the 12^th man!

Texas A&M Aggies freshman quarterback Johnny Manziel was named one of 20 National High School Athletes of the Year. Manziel was named by the National High School Coaches Association after finishing his high school career as a great playmaker, perhaps one of the best in the hallowed history of Texas high school football.

Manziel enrolled at Texas A&M last January and went through spring drills with the Aggies. At the annual Maroon and White game, Maziel completed 8-of-9 passes for 115 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Spring Practice has started for the Texas Aggies and things are looking promising. Recently, the Aggies ran a full pads practice with drills consisting of many 11-on-11 team situations. The practice ran for about an hour and a half.

Texas A&M, always playing for fans, runs practices that are open to the public. Around 70 fans have been attending the practices to view the progress of their favorite team. Louisiana State University coach Les Miles loudly sang the school's fight song while savoring the celebration of the Tiger's first AT&T Cotton Bowl. The Texas A&M Aggies were defeated in the Cotton Bowl 41-24.

LSU's Jordan Jefferson matched a career-high with three touchdown passes while Terrence Toliver tied Keyshawn Johnson's Cotton Bowl record for touchdown receptions with three. Louisiana has won 11 of its past 14 bowl games. Texas A&M on the other hand has lost its past five bowl games. Its previous victory came in the 2011 Gallery Furniture Bowl.

Jeff Fuller finished with seven receptions for 83 yards. His 83 yard performance made him the first player in the 108 seasons of Texas A&M football to have more than 1,000 receiving yards in a season.

The AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic 2011 will be reviving a long-time rivalry between the Texas A&M Aggies and the Louisiana State University Tigers. Louisiana will be representing the Southeastern Conference while Texas from the Big 12.

The 10th-ranked Tigers will face No. 18 ranked Texas A&M for the first time since 1995! The teams' rivalry dates back to 1899 when the Aggies had a huge 52-0 victory in College Station. LSU owns the series lead 26-20-3, but Texas A&M has streaked away with the last five wins. LSU has won the only bowl game in which these two teams have met! What a game to see!!

The Texas A&M Football Team enjoyed a winning 2010 season, ending their regular season to the tune of 9-3. The Agggies finished their regular season with a game against the Texas Longhorns. In this game, the Aggies heaped a final insult on the Longhorns, sending them to their first losing season since 1997! Go Aggies!

In the Aggies-Longhorn game, Cyrus Gray had a career-high 223 rushing yards and two touchdowns for the Aggies.  Jeff Fuller, also caught a touchdown pass and the Aggies kicker, Randy Bullock, kicked a 50-yard field goal for the Aggies. The win over the Texas Longhorns made the sixth win in a row for the Texas A&M Aggies and fans were excited to be there!

While the season was a success, Texas A&M coach Mike Sherman will still look to improve in the off-season striving for an undefeated record. See you next season Aggie fans!

Texas A and M just couldn't execute with precision to beat the Georgia Bulldogs in the Independence Bowl. Georgia beat the Texas Aggies 44-20 much to the dismay of Texas Aggies fans. The Aggies Bowl game loss seals their 2009 season record at 6-7 and makes it the fourth straight post season loss for the Aggies football team.

From a Texas Aggies fan perspective it was almost embarrassing the way special teams executed and Jerrod Johnson did not look like the stellar quarterback we had seen in previous games.

The Aggies football team finished fifth in the Big 12's South Division and this Texas Aggies fan is looking forward to an even better Aggies season in 2010. The Aggies no-huddle offense makes the team fun to watch and Texas Aggies fans will want to buy Aggies Football tickets for next season as soon as they are available.

The Texas Aggies Football team finished the season at .500. College Football Bowl game experts predict that the Texas Aggies Football team will be a part of the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, Louisiana on December 28, 2009.

Despite a dismal record, Aggies football fans continued to show up at Kyle Field which officially sold-out (83,000) several times including the big in-state rival game against #5 ranked Texas Tech.

Texas A&M finally showed off their southern college football prowess on October 25^th when they beat the Iowa State Cyclones 49-35 on Iowa's home turf. Sporting analysts were favoring Iowa State by three points, but our very own Texas Aggies prevailed.
