Cody Cordell Williams was born in Longview, Texas on April 8, 1988. As a senior at Longview High School, Cody Williams made 47 tackles and 11 of those were for a loss. Cody Williams earned first-team All-District 12-5A honors and second-team all-state honors as a defensive lineman.

Cody Williams had a redshirt season in 2006 for Texas A&M. In 2007, the 6’4” 262 lbs defensive lineman played in two games as an Aggie. In 2008, #97 made his way into the Texas A&M rotation during the last half of the season. Cody Williams made four tackles that season.
