Frank Sterling Avery II was born in Galveston, Texas on September 16, 1988. Frank Avery attended Ball High School where he earned all-District 24-5A honors as a tight end. As a senior at Galveston Ball High, Frank Avery caught 18 passes for 269 yards. Other honors he received were second-team all-district, played in the East Meets West All-American game, rated #63 in Texas by Rivals.com, rated #76 in Texas by Scout.com, and All-Region by Prepstar. In 2007, #89 joined the Texas A&M football program. During that season Frank Avery was redshirted. The 6’4” 207 lbs tight end saw game time in nine games with the Aggies as a reserved tight end.
