Howard Louis Morrow III was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 2, 1987. Howard Morrow was raised in Keller, Texas and attended Fossil Ridge High School. At Fossil Ridge Howard Morrow was a two-time all-district and all-state selection. In two seasons as a starter, Howard Morrow made 144 catches for 2,326 yards and 29 touchdowns.

In 2005, Howard Morrow played his true freshman season for the University of Texas A&M. That season, Morrow played in all 11 games and started in three as a wide receiver. The 6’0” 206 lbs wide receiver made six catches for 94 yards that season. In 2006, Howard Morrow had seven catches for 82 yards. #5 played in 12 games that season. Howard Morrow missed the 2007 season after suffering a season-ending wrist injury during fall camp. In 2008, Howard Morrow caught a career-high six passes for 78 yards against Oklahoma.
