Keondra Smith (#26) was born January 3, 1986 in Tyler, Texas. Currently standing at 5’9” and weighing 201lbs, Keondra Smith was a three-time all-district running back at Tyler Lee High School. That is also where Keondra Smith earned honorable mention all-state honors and was named first-team All-East Texas as a senior. As a junior, Keondra Smith rushed for 1,079 yards and 14 touchdowns and caught 18 passes for 225 yards and three touchdowns. In 2001, Keondra Smith was Sophomore-of-the-Year, after rushing for 604 yards on 102 carries.

In his sophomore year of college, the backup running back saw action in all 12 Aggies regular season games, where he earned his first career start against Baylor Bears. In his junior year, Keondra Smith provided valuable depth at running back. Keondra Smith earned his second career start against Kansas State, while also recording a career-high 45 receiving yards against Texas, also in his junior year.
